Supporting every pupil to write his or her own story starts with the quality of pastoral care at Marlborough House Vinehall. Embedded in our pastoral care, or our People Care, are our values of Empathy, Respect, Courage and Ambition.

Pastoral care is all-encompassing, forming not only the day-to-day support for pupils, but, in essence, the wider culture of the school. Ours is a school where every individual, pupil or staff member, is supported to reach their full potential.

The family feel of our school, enhanced by its size and deliberately high adult : pupil ratio, helps create the right environment where every person is known. Here, nobody is just a face or a number; they are an individual with a story to tell, each valued for their uniqueness and contribution to our school family.

Marlborough House Vinehall is proud of its deliberate care for the individual, the capturing of childhood and instilling of a grounded education that prepares children for the future, whilst holding on to the best things of childhood: playing in the mud, climbing trees, exploring far and wide. To bring this about requires a very dedicated and deliberate team of teachers.

Form Tutors are the backbone of our pastoral care network. The key point of contact between home and school, Form Tutors are our pupils’ greatest allies. Form Tutors take great pride in their individual forms and champion each child. Special threads of competitiveness encourage our pupils to do just a little more, work a little harder, push a little further.

With a strong pastoral culture setting high expectations, our pupils develop good manners, kind hearts, and enough grit to be able to face challenges and get back up when things are tricky. With this combination, we are confident that the future is bright for our young people.
