Each child’s story from Pre-Prep continues on as children move up to the Prep School in Year 3.
Prep School life at Marlborough House Vinehall really does prepare for the next stage of senior school, with preparation for the onward journey a focus whilst maintaining that all-important balanced approach. Whether your child dips into our Learning Support offering or takes on the mantle of the More Able and Talented programme, each child will be sure to reach their full potential and have the support to get there.
Teaching with a mixture of Common Entrance content and Baccalaureate skills, pupils benefit from the rigour of one and the soft-skill development of the other. We firmly believe that this combination prepares each child well for the future.
Our school values set the tone for how the Prep School feels.
Life in the Prep School is bold and exciting, with busy, buzzy children soaking up every minute of school life. Whether homing in on academics in their classroom-based subjects or sprinting out on exciting sports fixtures (and match teas!) or dabbling in a new skill in our extensive co-curricular offering, there’s something for everyone in the Prep School.
Being a full boarding school, pupils in the Prep School can benefit from our offering of wraparound care. Whilst there is never a typical day, our Prep School timetable and wrap-around care options are as follows:
*Certain squad activities may have different finish times.
NB. Games sessions take place during lessons. Matches take place on Wednesday afternoons for Years 5 – 8 and on Thursday afternoons for Years 3 and 4.
The whole family has felt really embraced into the school community, since moving from London.
This has been the best educational move we have made for our son, both academically and for sport. We have been made so welcome by staff and parents. The children are very well looked after.
Our children have loved the breadth of the curriculum and the range of extra-curricular opportunities (from residential trips to masterclass outings).
