About the role
We are seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a passion for their subject and a keen interest in developing children’s skill and enthusiasm.
The successful candidate will inspire and promote their love of their subject whilst encouraging a sense of fun and enjoyment of learning. He or she will deliver lessons to pupils in Years 5-8 in our dedicated science labs, which provide the perfect environment for inspirational learning. The successful applicant will be committed to furthering the development of the children in their charge, as well as advancing their own lifelong learning.
All staff at Marlborough House Vinehall play a full part in the School’s pastoral and extra-curricular programme and the successful candidate will be enthusiastic about doing the same. In particular, candidates should be ready to take an after-school club.

Outline Terms and Conditions
Period of employment: Maternity cover starting in January 2026, at the start of the Spring Term.
Working hours: Full time, although four days per week may be possible.
Salary: Commensurate with experience, within a range of £40,000-£43,500 per annum. The School will comply with its legal obligations in relation to the provision of access to a pension scheme. Lunch is provided during term time.
